Sinupret® Syrup

Directions for use
Unless otherwise prescribed, the medicine should be taken using the measuring cup provided (calibrated with markings at 2.1 ml, 3.5 ml and 7.0 ml) as follows:
Adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over:
- Single dose: 7.0 ml
- Daily dose: 21.0 ml (3 times 7.0 ml).
Children aged 6–11 years:
- Single dose: 3.5 ml
- Daily dose: 10.5 ml (3 × 3.5 ml).
Children aged 2–5 years:
- Single dose: 2.1 ml
- Daily dose: 6.3 ml (3 × 2.1 ml).
There are as yet insufficient studies on the use of Sinupret Syrup in children under 2 years of age. For this reason, and due to its alcohol content, the medicine should not be used in children under 2 years of age. Unless otherwise prescribed, the duration of treatment is 7–14 days. Shake well before use!

There are as yet no sufficient studies on the use of Sinupret Syrup in children under 2 years of age. For this reason, and due to its alcohol content, the medicine must not be used in children under 2 years of age.
This medicine contains 8% (v/v) alcohol. If the dosage instructions are followed, each dose will provide 0.13 g of alcohol for children aged 2–5 years, up to 0.22 g of alcohol for children aged 6–11 years, and 0.44 g of alcohol for children and adolescents aged 12 years and over and adults. There is a health risk, amongst others, for people with liver disease, alcoholics, people with epilepsy, patients with organic brain disorders, pregnant women and breastfeeding women.
The effects of other medicines may be impaired or enhanced. Patients with the rare hereditary condition fructose intolerance should not take Sinupret Syrup. 7.0 ml of Sinupret Syrup contains 5.5 g of maltitol solution, corresponding to approximately 0.35 bread units (BU). This should be taken into account by patients with diabetes mellitus. The calorie content is 2.3 kcal/g maltitol. Maltitol may have a mild laxative effect. If symptoms worsen or persist for longer than 14 days, consult a doctor. Slight cloudiness or flocculation may occur during storage; this does not affect the efficacy of the product.
Ingredients
100 g contain 10 g of extract from 0.07 g of gentian root, 0.207 g verbena, 0.207 g garden sorrel, 0.207 g elderflower, 0.207 g cowslip flowers with calyx; extraction solvent: ethanol 59% (v/v). 1 ml contains 1.21 g. Other ingredients: 8% (v/v) alcohol and 65.2 g liquid maltitol.
