The active ingredient in Coldan, naphazoline, a vasoconstrictor substance, has a decongestant effect on the nasal mucosa and inhibits the production of nasal secretions. The effect starts a few minutes after application and lasts for around 4 hours.
Coldan is used for the local treatment of rhinitis, hay fever, pharyngitis, for the supportive treatment of inflammation of the frontal and maxillary sinuses, to facilitate rhinoscopy (examination of the inside of the nose).

Directions for use
- Adults and adolescents aged 12 and over: 2 - maximum 4 times daily 1 - 3 drops in each nostril.
- Children from 6 to 12 years: 1 - maximum 3 times daily 1 - 2 drops in each nostril.
- The use of COLDAN nasal drops is not recommended for children aged 2 to 6 years.
If use is necessary, COLDAN Nasal Drops should only be given to children from 2 to 6 years of age on a doctor's prescription. COLDAN Nasal Drops should not be used in children under 2 years of age.
Method of application
For nasal application. For dripping into the nose.
After thoroughly cleaning the nose (blowing), tilt the head back and instil the drops into each nostril, holding the other nostril closed with a finger and inhaling. Turning the head at the same time ensures even distribution of the product on the mucous membrane. After use, rinse the dropper pipette with hot water to avoid contaminating the contents of the bottle. Then dry the dropper pipette with a clean cloth.
Duration of use
There should be an interval of at least 4 hours between individual applications. Treatment with COLDAN nasal drops should not be continued for longer than 7 days in adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over, and for no longer than 5 days in children aged 6 - 12 years. If the symptoms worsen or persist for more than 72 hours without noticeable improvement, please consult a doctor. Take a break of at least 10 days before starting a new course of treatment.
COLDAN nasal drops must not be used for continuous treatment. Prolonged uninterrupted use may lead to symptoms of habituation.
Suitable for use in children and adolescents from 6 years of age and adults. If use is necessary, Coldan nasal spray may only be given to children from 2 to 6 years of age on a doctor's prescription.

Ingredients
Active ingredients: 1 ml contains 1.0 mg naphazoline hydrochloride. The other ingredients are Benzalkonium chloride, sodium chloride, sodium dihydrogen phosphate, sodium monohydrogen phosphate, sodium edetate, purified water.
