Directions for use
- Children and adolescents aged 6 - 14 years: 1 sachet of granules twice daily (equivalent to 400 mg acetylcysteine per day).
- Adults and adolescents aged 14 years and over: 2 - 3 times daily 1 sachet of granules (corresponding to 400 - 600 mg acetylcysteine per day).
- Acetylcysteine Hexal 200 mg - Granules must not be used in children under 6 years of age.
- Route of administration: Oral use: The granules are taken after meals, dissolved in a glass of water. The ready-to-use solution should be taken without delay.
- Duration of use: For acute respiratory diseases, the duration of treatment is generally 4 - 5 days. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect of Acetylcysteine Hexal is too strong or too weak or if you do not feel better or even worse after 4 - 5 days.
Ingredients
- The active substance is acetylcysteine. One sachet contains 200 mg acetylcysteine.
- The other ingredients are: ascorbic acid, sucrose, saccharin and orange flavouring (consisting of atomised orange essential oil, anhydrous dextrose, lactose).
