Apozema® Bronchial and Cough Grindelia Complex No. 12 Drops are a homeopathic medicinal product for the supportive treatment of acute and chronic coughs associated with flu-like infections.

Homeopathy is regarded as a regulatory therapy for acute and chronic conditions. APOZEMA Bronchial and Cough Grindelia Complex No. 12 Drops are a homeopathic combination remedy comprising various individual homeopathic remedies whose therapeutic profiles complement one another.

Indications

The indications are derived from the homeopathic drug profiles. The following indications are authorised for this medicine:

For the supportive treatment of acute and chronic coughs, such as:

Coughs associated with flu-like infections
Coughs associated with bronchial catarrh
Dry, irritating cough
Spasmodic cough
Productive cough (cough with mucus production)

The use of this homeopathic medicine for the indicated conditions is based solely on homeopathic experience. In severe forms of these conditions, clinically proven treatment is indicated. This medicine is intended for use in adults, adolescents and children aged 3 years and over. If you do not feel any better, or if your condition worsens, after 5–7 days (or after 48 hours in children), consult your doctor.

Properties of the ingredients

Grindelia ( Grindelia) is indicated for respiratory conditions involving thick, difficult-to-clear mucus. Thick mucus impedes breathing, particularly when lying down.
Ammonium bromatum (ammonium bromide) is used specifically for chronic catarrh of the larynx and pharynx.
Antimonium sulfuratum aurantiacum (gold sulphur) acts on the upper and lower respiratory tracts. It is used primarily as an expectorant for thick accumulations of mucus in the morning.
Bryonia ( red-berried bryony or hedge bryony) is indicated for acute symptoms of the upper and lower respiratory tracts, such as those associated with colds.
Cuprum aceticum (copper acetate) is used for various spasmodic complaints, such as a spastic cough and asthmatic symptoms accompanied by shortness of breath.
Hyoscyamus ( henbane) is characterised by a remedy picture of spasmodic conditions of the respiratory tract.
Ipecacuanha is a remedy frequently used in homeopathy that acts on the lower respiratory tract. A cough with rattling phlegm and shortness of breath is part of its remedy profile.
Kalium jodatum (potassium iodide) is used in homeopathy for catarrh of the upper airways that has already become chronic.
Stannum jodatum ( tin iodide) is used for chronic catarrh, particularly of the lower airways and bronchi.

Dosage form

Directions for use

Young people aged 12 and over and adults: 21 drops up to 4 times a day, spread throughout the day.
Children aged 6 to 12 years: 7 drops diluted in a little water, up to 3 times a day, spread throughout the day.
Children aged 3 to 6 years: 7 drops diluted in a little water, up to 2 times a day, spread throughout the day.
Method of administration: For oral use. Spread the drops over the surrounding oral mucosa with the tongue or take them diluted in water. Once symptoms improve, reduce the frequency of use.
Duration of use: If you do not feel any better, or if your symptoms worsen, after 5–7 days (or after 48 hours in children), consult your doctor.

The active ingredients are: 100 g (equivalent to 107.5 ml) contain: Grindelia robusta Dil. D4 2 g; Ammonium bromatum Dil. D4 2 g; Stibium sulphuratum aurantiacum (Antimonium sulphuratum aurantiacum) Dil. D8 2 g; Bryonia Dil. D12 2 g; Cuprum aceticum Dil. D4 2 g; Hyoscyamus niger (Hyoscyamus) Dil. D6 2 g; Psychotria ipecacuanha (Ipecacuanha) Dil. D4 2 g; potassium iodide (potassium iodatum) Dil. D6 2 g and stannum iodatum Dil. D12 2 g.
The other ingredients are: ethanol 96% (alcohol), purified water.
