Coughs are one of the most common reasons why patients seek medical treatment during the cold season. Despite the discomfort that can be caused by coughing, coughing is a primary protective mechanism of the respiratory tract and is therefore fundamental to the natural functioning of the respiratory system.

In order to calm the cough without switching off its protective mechanism, Grintuss Cough Syrup for Children acts on the mucous membrane by protecting it and supporting its functionality. The mucous membrane in the throat area is moisturised and friction in the throat, which triggers the cough, is reduced.

How does Grintuss cough syrup for children work?

Grintuss cough syrup for children works by forming a protective film that adheres to the mucous membrane and protects it from contact with irritating substances. It soothes the cough without suppressing it, thereby respecting the important role it plays in the defence of the upper respiratory tract. In addition, Grintuss cough syrup for children moisturises the mucous membrane in the throat and reduces the friction in the throat that triggers coughing.

How to use

It is recommended to give children aged 1 to 6 years 5 ml (equivalent to 1 measuring spoon) and children aged 6 years and over 10 ml (equivalent to 2 measuring spoons) two to four times a day. The last dose should be taken before going to bed. Shake well before use. Close the bottle carefully after use and clean the dosing spoon thoroughly with water. Once opened, use within three months.
A practical dosing spoon is included in each pack.
Suitable for children aged 1 year and over.
Advice: Do not use in case of hypersensitivity or allergy to one or more ingredients. If symptoms do not improve, consult a doctor. Store at room temperature and protect from heat and light. Keep out of the reach of children. The expiry date refers to the unopened and properly stored product. One measuring spoon (5 ml) contains approx. 0.404 BE (bread units). Follow the instructions for use carefully and seek the advice of a doctor or pharmacist if necessary.
