The Ambrobene® solution offers a versatile application option for mucus solution in respiratory diseases with thick mucus. The liquid dosage form allows easy dosing for adults and children.
Ambroxol hydrochloride, the active ingredient in Ambrobene 7.5 mg/ml solution, loosens congested and viscous secretions from the bronchial wall and facilitates coughing.
Ambrobene 7.5 mg/ml solution is used together with plenty of liquid for the expectorant treatment of acute and chronic bronchial and pulmonary diseases. If you do not feel better or even worse after 4 to 5 days, consult your doctor.

Directions for use
Oral use:
- Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age: 4 ml 3 x daily for the first 2 to 3 days of treatment, then 2 ml 3 x daily. In severe cases, the intake of 4 ml 3 x daily can be continued after consultation with your doctor.
- Children from 6 to 12 years: 2 to 3 x 2 ml daily.
- Children from 2 to 6 years: 1 ml 3 x daily.
- Infants up to 2 years: 2 x 1 ml daily.
- Children: Ambrobene 7.5 mg/ml solution may only be used in small children under 2 years of age on medical advice.
Route of administration: For ingestion and inhalation. Use the enclosed measuring cup with millilitre (ml) graduations for measuring. The solution can be diluted with tea, fruit juice, milk or water. You can use Ambrobene 7.5 mg/ml solution independently of meals.
Duration of use: If your symptoms worsen or there is no improvement after 4 to 5 days, consult a doctor.
Notes: The mucolytic effect of Ambrobene 7.5 mg/ml solution is enhanced by drinking plenty of fluids.
For inhalation:
- Adults, adolescents and children over 6 years: 1 to 2 inhalations of 2 to 3 ml solution per day.
- Infants and children under 6 years: 1 to 2 inhalations with 2 ml solution per day.
Instructions: Inhale with a suitable inhalation device (follow the instructions for use). Before inhaling, warm Ambrobene 7.5 mg/ml solution to body temperature. If you suffer from asthma, you should first use your asthma medication before inhaling. Inhalation can trigger a cough. You should therefore inhale and exhale without straining. If only one inhalation per day is possible, Ambrobene 7.5 mg/ml solution should also be administered orally.

- What Ambrobene 7.5 mg/ml solution contains: The active substance is ambroxol hydrochloride. 1 ml solution (= approx. 14 drops) contains 7.5 mg ambroxol hydrochloride.
- The other ingredients are: Potassium sorbate, hydrochloric acid 25%, purified water.
