COLDAMARIS plus nasal spray, 20 ml

COLDAMARIS plus nasal spray is a medical device that forms a physical protective film on the nasal mucosa. The Carragelose® it contains coats cold viruses, thereby helping to reduce their ability to attach to and multiply.

The nose is the most common route of infection for viruses that cause colds (upper respiratory tract infections). Flu-like infections are caused by viruses such as rhinoviruses and coronaviruses. Once cold viruses have entered the nose, they can attach themselves to the mucous membrane. There, the viruses multiply and spread. Coldamaris plus contains iota-carrageenan (Carragelose®) and kappa-carrageenan and forms a moisturising protective film on the nasal mucous membrane. This film acts as a physical barrier against external influences, such as the entry of cold viruses. This sustained moisturising effect can therefore help prevent the onset of a cold. Carrageenan is a natural active ingredient derived from red algae. 

Coldamaris plus can also shorten or alleviate the duration of virus-induced cold symptoms and reduce the likelihood of a recurrence of such symptoms. 

Coldamaris plus is used to support the treatment of viral colds, as well as to provide sustained moisturisation of the nasal mucosa and thus to prevent and support the treatment of all symptoms resulting from a dry or irritated nasal mucosa. 

Coldamaris plus is sterile and contains no preservatives. Thanks to the special filter system in the spray nozzle, the solution remains sterile even after repeated use.

Directions for use

• If your nose is blocked, spray once into each nostril several times a day. Before use, remove the protective cap and, if necessary, pump the spray once or twice until a fine, even mist is released. The Coldamaris nasal spray is now ready for use. Insert the spray nozzle carefully and not too deeply into the nose to avoid injury. Hold the spray bottle upright whilst spraying. Replace the protective cap after use.

Ingredients

1 ml of solution contains 1.2 mg of iota-carrageenan (Carragelose®) and 0.4 mg of kappa-carrageenan, sodium chloride and purified water.
