ICHTHOLAN® 20% ointment (contains ammonium bituminosulphonate, an active ingredient of natural origin):

How to use
- Apply ICHTHOLAN 20% ointment to the area of skin to be treated as thick as the back of a knife and cover with a bandage. The dressing should be changed daily. Each time the dressing is changed, the ointment residue remaining on the skin must first be washed off before a new dressing is applied.
- Method of application: Unless otherwise prescribed, ICHTHOLAN® 20% Ointment should be applied thickly to the areas of skin to be treated and covered extensively with a bandage. The dressing should be changed daily and the ointment residues should be washed off each time the dressing is changed before ICHTHOLAN® 20% Ointment is applied again.
- Duration of application: The application of ICHTHOLAN® 20% Ointment as a permanent dressing should not exceed a maximum duration of 3 days. Otherwise, the duration of application depends on the success of the treatment. The frequency of application of ICHTHOLAN® 20% Ointment depends on the type and severity of the clinical picture and the skin reaction.
Ingredients
- The active ingredient is ammonium bituminosulphonate (Ichthyol®).
- 1 g ointment contains 0.2 g ammonium bituminosulphonate (Ichthyol®).
- The other ingredients are: Yellow vaseline, lanolin, purified water.
