Sperti® Preparation H haemorrhoidal ointment, 25 G

Like Preparation H, it is an anti-inflammatory medicine used to treat haemorrhoids; it helps haemorrhoids to shrink and relieves pain, burning and itching.

For use in cases of haemorrhoids.

Haemorrhoids are nodular enlargements of the veins in the anal region. They can occur inside or immediately outside the anus. Depending on their location, haemorrhoids can cause bleeding (usually bright red blood on the stool), itching, a burning sensation and oozing, as well as a dull pressure and pain in the rectum.

Sperti Preparation H Haemorrhoid Ointment contains the active ingredients ethanol-based brewer’s yeast thick extract and shark liver oil.

Directions for use

• For topical and rectal use.
• The recommended dose is: Adults: apply generously in the evening and in the morning, and after each bowel movement. Apply the ointment to the haemorrhoidal area or insert it into the anus using the applicator.
• Duration of use: If you do not feel any better, or if your condition worsens, after 14 days, consult your doctor.

Ingredients

• The active ingredients are: ethanolic brewer’s yeast thick extract (skin respiration factor 7050 E) and shark liver oil. 100 g of ointment contain 1 g of ethanolic brewer’s yeast thick extract and 3 g of shark liver oil (shark liver oil and fish oil in a 1:1 ratio).
• The other ingredients are: wool wax, Isocreme absorption base (wool wax, lanolin alcohol, paraffinum liquidum, petrolatum, ozokerite, butylhydroxytoluene (E 321)), liquid paraffin, methyl parahydroxybenzoate, propyl parahydroxybenzoate, thyme essential oil, white Vaseline, glycerine
