Sinupret® intense tablets are a herbal medicine used to treat acute, uncomplicated inflammation of the paranasal sinuses in adults.

Sinupret® intense is used for acute, uncomplicated inflammation of the paranasal sinuses (acute, uncomplicated rhinosinusitis) with symptoms such as a runny nose, a blocked nose, and pain or pressure in the head and face.

How does Sinupret® intense work?

It contains the tried-and-tested combination of the medicinal plants gentian root, verbena, elderflower, sorrel and cowslip. Sinupret® intens is 4 times more concentrated*, and is therefore extremely effective for acute colds and sinus infections (rhinosinusitis).

Directions for use

The recommended dose is: Adults should take 1 coated tablet 3 times a day (maximum 3 coated tablets per day). There are insufficient data to provide specific dosage recommendations for patients with impaired kidney or liver function.
Use in children and adolescents Use in children and adolescents under 18 years of age is not recommended, as there is currently insufficient data available for this age group.
Method of administration: Sinupret intens should be taken three times a day (morning, midday and evening) without chewing, with a little liquid (e.g. a glass of water). If you have a sensitive stomach, it is best to take Sinupret intens after meals.
Duration of treatment: Unless otherwise prescribed, the duration of treatment is 7–14 days. If there is no improvement by then or if the symptoms persist, please consult a doctor.
Sinupret® intense can be taken with food, with drinks or independently of meals. If you have a sensitive stomach, it is best to take Sinupret intense after meals.

Ingredients

The active ingredient is a native dry extract (3–6:1) of gentian root (Gentiana lutea L.), cowslip flowers (Primula veris L.), curly dock (Rumex crispus L.), elderflower (Sambucus nigra L.), and verbena (Verbena officinalis L.) (1:3:3:3:3); 1. Extraction solvent: ethanol 51 % (m/m). Each coated tablet contains 160.00 mg of native dry extract.
The other ingredients are: sucrose, talc, calcium carbonate (E 170), microcrystalline cellulose, maltodextrin, cellulose powder, hypromellose, dextrin, spray-dried gum arabic, highly dispersed, hydrophobic silicon dioxide, highly dispersed silicon dioxide, titanium dioxide (E 171), glucose syrup, magnesium stearate [vegetable], stearic acid, chlorophyll powder 25% (contains copper chlorophyll E 141), indigo carmine aluminium lacquer (contains indigo carmine E 132 and aluminium hydroxide), carnauba wax, riboflavin (E 101).
