Product information "Sinupret® forte coated tablets"

Sinupret® forte coated tablets are a herbal medicinal product and are used to treat symptoms of acute and chronic inflammation of the nasal mucosa and paranasal sinuses (e.g. to liquefy thick mucus).

This medicine is used in adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over. If you do not feel better or even worse after 7 days, consult your doctor.

How to use

Adolescents from 12 years of age and adults: 1 Sinupret forte coated tablet 3 times daily, Sinupret forte coated tablets are not suitable for use in children under 12 years of age.
Sinupret coated tablets are available for children from 6 to 11 years of age.
Sinupret drops are available for children from 2 to 5 years of age.
Route of administration: Oral use. The coated tablets should be taken whole with a little liquid (e.g. a glass of water). Sinupret forte coated tablets can be taken with food, drinks or independently of meals. People with stomach sensitivities should take Sinupret forte coated tablets after a meal.
Duration of use: If you do not feel better or even worse after 7 days, consult your doctor.
Special information: This medicine contains glucose as syrup, lactose monohydrate, sucrose and sorbitol. Patients with rare hereditary fructose intolerance, galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency, glucose-galactose malabsorption or saccharase-isomaltase insufficiency should not take Sinupret forte. 1 Sinupret forte coated tablet contains approx. 0.015 creditable bread units (BE).

Ingredients

The active ingredients are: Gentian root, primrose flower with calyx, garden sorrel, elderflower, verbena.
1 coated tablet contains: Gentian root (Gentianae radix) 12 mg primrose flower with calyx (Primulae flos cum calycibus) 36 mg garden sorrel (Rumicis herba) elderflower (Sambuci flos) 36 mg verbena (Verbenae herba) 36 mg .
The other ingredients are: Core: potato starch, highly dispersed silicon dioxide, lactose monohydrate, gelatine, sorbitol, stearic acid, purified water. Shell: calcium carbonate, glucose syrup, magnesium oxide, maize starch, basic butyl methacrylate copolymer, montan glycol wax, dextrin; castor oil, sucrose, shellac, talc Colouring in shell: riboflavin (E101), indigotine I (E 132), chlorophyll and chlorophyllin-copper complex (E141), titanium dioxide (E 171).
