Prospan Cough Syrup is a herbal medicine designed to help loosen phlegm in cases of cough associated with colds. The cough syrup makes it easier to cough up phlegm, relaxes the bronchial muscles and thus soothes the cough.

If you do not feel any better, or if your condition worsens, after 1 week, consult your doctor.

Using the power of ivy, Prospan loosens phlegm, clears the airways and thus soothes the cough. Prospan is purely herbal, well tolerated, suitable for all ages and available in various forms. The tried-and-tested Prospan Cough Syrup effectively relieves coughs and has a pleasant, fruity wild cherry flavour.

Prospan® Cough Syrup is suitable for the whole family and is a must-have in any medicine cabinet. Thanks to the unique special ivy extract EA 575®, the cough syrup is effective and well tolerated – even by the youngest children. The sugar-free Prospan® Cough Syrup is particularly pleasant to take for all ages – it tastes of wild cherry and is alcohol-free.

Directions for use

Adults, adolescents and school-age children: 5 ml, 3–5 times a day.
Children aged 1–5 years: 3–5 times 2.5 ml.
Infants aged 1–12 months: 1–2 times 2.5 ml. Prospan Cough Syrup should only be used in infants after consulting a doctor. Use in infants under 1 month of age cannot be recommended, as there is insufficient data available.
Method of administration: For oral use with the measuring cup provided. Shake the bottle well before each use!
Duration of use: If symptoms worsen or there is no improvement after one week, you should consult a doctor.

Ingredients

The active ingredient is: dried ivy leaf extract. 2.5 ml of liquid contains 17.5 mg of dried ivy leaf extract. (Ratio of drug to extract 5 – 7.5 : 1; extraction solvent: 30% ethanol (m/m)).
The other ingredients are: 70% sorbitol solution (E 420, crystallising), potassium sorbate, anhydrous citric acid, xanthan gum, cherry flavouring, purified water.
