Grippostad® C capsules, 24 ST

Grippostad® C is a medicine for the treatment of common colds. It contains the active ingredients paracetamol, ascorbic acid, caffeine and chlorphenamine maleate.

Grippostad® C is used for the symptomatic treatment of associated symptoms such as headaches and aching limbs, a runny nose and a dry cough associated with the common cold. If accompanied by a fever or elevated body temperature, Grippostad® C has a fever-reducing effect.

Due to the fixed combination of active ingredients in Grippostad® C, it is not possible to adjust the dose individually for symptoms that primarily involve one of the symptoms mentioned; in such situations, medicines with a different composition are to be preferred. Grippostad® C must not be taken for longer than 3 days without consulting a doctor.

Grippostad® C capsules combine four active ingredients that are well-balanced. This well-tolerated combination of active ingredients is used to treat symptoms that occur together, such as headaches and aching limbs, a runny nose and a dry cough, as part of a common cold. Grippostad® C capsules help you feel better quickly.

• Paracetamol helps to relieve headaches and aching limbs and to reduce fever.
• Chlorphenamine belongs to the group of antihistamines; it helps to reduce nasal mucus production, thereby making it easier to breathe.

At the same time, it soothes a dry cough. It also inhibits excessive mucus secretion. The caffeine contained in Grippostad® capsules enhances the pain-relieving effect of paracetamol. This allows for a reduction in the paracetamol dose, thereby reducing the strain on the body by using a lower quantity of painkiller. Grippostad® C capsules contain ascorbic acid, better known as vitamin C.

Active ingredients

• Caffeine: enhances the pain-relieving and fever-reducing effects of paracetamol

Dosage form

Directions for use

• Adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over –– 2 capsules three times a day.
• Method of administration: Take the capsule with a sufficient amount of non-alcoholic liquid (e.g. 1 glass of water).
• Duration of use: You must not take Grippostad® C for longer than 3 days without consulting a doctor. Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist if you feel that the effect of Grippostad® C is too strong or too weak.

Ingredients

• The active ingredients are: paracetamol, ascorbic acid (vitamin C), caffeine and chlorphenamine maleate. 1 capsule contains 200 mg of paracetamol, 150 mg of ascorbic acid, 25 mg caffeine and 2.5 mg chlorphenamine maleate.
• The other ingredients are: gelatine, glycerol tristearate, lactose monohydrate, quinoline yellow (E104), erythrosine (E127), titanium dioxide (E171).
