Mucosolvan® Expectorant 7.5 mg/1 ml solution is an expectorant medicine containing the active substance ambroxol hydrochloride for the treatment of acute and chronic bronchial and pulmonary diseases. It dissolves thick mucus and makes it easier to cough up.

Ambroxol hydrochloride, the active ingredient in Mucosolvan Expectorant 7.5 mg/1 ml solution, loosens congested and viscous secretions from the bronchial wall and makes it easier to cough up.

Mucosolvan expectorant 7.5 mg/1 ml solution is used together with plenty of liquid for the expectorant treatment of acute and chronic bronchial and pulmonary diseases.

Mucosolvan® solution helps to restore the normal function of your airways by loosening stuck mucus in the bronchial tubes, relieving the urge to cough and allowing you to breathe freely and deeply again. Mucosolvan® solution offers 2 treatment options to combat your cough:

You can take Mucosolvan® solution with liquid.
In addition, Mucosolvan® solution is particularly suitable for inhalation with special inhalation devices. In this way, the active ingredient is delivered directly to the congested airways.

How to use

For ingestion:

0-2 years: only on medical advice
2-6 years: 1 ml 3 x daily
6-12 years: 2 ml 2-3 times daily
From 12 years: 4 ml 3 x daily for the first 2-3 days of treatment, then 2 ml 3 x daily

In severe cases, the intake of 3 x 4 ml daily can be continued after consultation with your doctor.

For inhalation:

Infants and children under 6 years: 1-2 inhalations with 2 ml solution per day
Adults, adolescents and children over 6 years: 1-2 inhalations with 2-3 ml solution per day

Duration of use: If your symptoms worsen or there is no improvement after 4 to 5 days, you should consult a doctor.
