aeromuc® 600 mg soluble tablets are a medicinal product containing the active ingredient acetylcysteine. This is used to thin viscous secretions in conditions affecting the upper and lower respiratory tract. For use in respiratory conditions involving mucus production.
Aeromuc 600 mg soluble tablets contain acetylcysteine as the active ingredient, a derivativeof a natural amino acid. In respiratory conditions,thick secretions inthe airwayscanlead to a serious impairment of lung function,damagingthe mucous membranesand makingthemsusceptible to infection. Aeromuc loosens the thick mucus in theairways, making it easier to cough up and thereby relieving the urge to cough. Breathing becomesnoticeably easier.
The expectorant effect sets in gradually over 1–2 days. If youdo not feel any better, or if your condition worsens, after4–5 days, consult your doctor.
Indications
- To loosen mucus and make it easier to cough up in respiratory conditions involving thickmucus.

Directions
- To be taken orally after dissolving in a glass of water before meals
- 1 soluble tablet once daily (preferably in the morning) or ½ soluble tablet twice daily
- Very easy to dose thanks to the tablet, which can be halved or quartered
- Approved for use from 6 years of age; standard daily dose for children aged 6–14 years is 300–400 mg acetylcysteine
- If taken at the same time as oral antibiotics, a gap of at least 2 hours is recommended

- Other ingredients: sodium bicarbonate, citric acid, aspartame (E 951), lemon flavouring.
