Livostin nasal spray contains levocabastine, a fast-acting antihistamine (blocks the body's own messenger substance histamine, which is responsible for allergic reactions). Its relatively long-lasting effectiveness means that twice daily application is sufficient. The typical symptoms of allergic rhinitis disappear almost immediately after use and the effect lasts for several hours.

LIVOSTIN - Nasal Spray is used in adults, children and adolescents aged 8 years and over. If you do not feel better or even worse after 3 days, consult your doctor.

How to use
Dosage:
- Adults, adolescents and children aged 8 years and over: 2 sprays per nostril, 2x daily. This dose can be increased to 2 sprays 3-4 times a day.
- Children under 8 years of age: The efficacy and safety of Livostin nasal spray has not been proven in children under 8 years of age. It is therefore not recommended for use in this age group.
Route of administration:
For nasal application. For spraying into the nose.
- Shake the bottle well before removing the protective cap.
- Before using for the first time, after removing the protective cap, press the spray pump until a fine spray jet emerges. The spray is now ready for use for each subsequent application.
- Clear the nasal passages before use.
- Hold the bottle as shown in the illustration. Tilt your head slightly forwards. Keep one nostril closed and insert the spray nozzle of the fine dosing device into the other nostril.
- Press the spray mechanism firmly twice. Inhale through your nose while spraying.
- Repeat points 4 and 5 for the other nostril. For hygienic reasons to avoid infection, each dosing spray may only be used by one person at a time.
Duration of treatment:
The optimal and successful treatment of allergic diseases requires both an initial diagnosis and regular check-ups by a doctor. Livostin - Nasal Spray should therefore not be used for longer than 2 weeks without a doctor's prescription. If the symptoms have not been sufficiently alleviated after this time, a doctor should be consulted to clarify the exact cause.
If prescribed by a doctor, Livostin nasal spray can be used for longer than 2 weeks. In this case, it should not be used for longer than 3 months with regular use.
Ingredients
The active substance is: levocabastine hydrochloride. 1 ml contains levocabastine hydrochloride corresponding to 0.5 mg levocabastine. 1 spray contains approximately 0.05 mg levocabastine. The other ingredients are: Benzalkonium chloride, propylene glycol, sodium monohydrogen phosphate, sodium dihydrogen phosphate monohydrate, hypromellose, polysorbate 80, disodium edetate, purified water.
