Effect of Kaloba® Syrup

antiviral: viral pathogens are killed by Kaloba® Syrup

First aid for colds

Kaloba® Syrup should be taken as soon as the first symptoms of a cold appear. To prevent a relapse, it should be continued for several days after the symptoms have subsided. The duration of treatment should not exceed 3 weeks. The active ingredient extract from Cape geranium contained in Kaloba® Syrup is obtained exclusively from plants grown organically according to strict quality criteria and is also available as a syrup for the youngest children.

First aid for bronchitis

Kaloba® Syrup is a herbal medicine specially authorised for bronchitis. In addition to its expectorant effect, Kaloba® Syrup also combats the viruses responsible for bronchitis.

Active ingredient

EPS 7630 is a special extract from the roots of Pelargonium sidoides DC (South African Cape geranium).
According to the clinical study with 10,000 patients (Frontiers in Pharmacology October 2021 - Article 757666), EPS 7630 blocked the entry of SARS-CoV 2 into human lung cells and also limited the replication of the viruses.

Directions for use

Adults and adolescents over 12 years: 7.5 ml syrup 3 times daily
Children aged 6 - 11 years: 5 ml syrup 3 times a day
Children aged 1 -5 years: 2.5 ml syrup 3 times a day

Method of administration

Oral use.
Take the syrup in the morning, at lunchtime and in the evening.
A measuring cup is enclosed for dosing Kaloba syrup.
The measuring cup has markings. Please open the bottle and slowly fill the measuring cup to the required amount in millilitres (ml).
Clean the measuring cup under running water after each use and dry it afterwards.

Duration of use

If you do not feel better or even worse after 7 days, consult your doctor.
The duration of treatment should not exceed 3 weeks.
It is advisable to continue treatment for several days after the symptoms have subsided to prevent a relapse.

Ingredients

The active substance is: dry extract of Pelargonium root (Pelargonii radix) (drug extract ratio (DEV)4 -25 : 1) (EPs®7630). The extracting agent is 11% ethanol (m/m).
100 g (=93.985 ml) syrup contains 0.2506 g dry extract of Pelargonium root (Pelargonii radix).
The other ingredients are: Maltodextrin, xylitol, glycerol 85%, citric acid anhydrous, potassium sorbate (Ph. Eur.), xanthan gum, purified water.
