ACC Hexal Acute Cough contains the active ingredient acetylcysteine, which has mucolytic properties. Acetylcysteine acts specifically on the components of mucus that cause it to become thick.

ACC Hexal Acute Cough Syrup thins viscous secretions in the lungs and nose. This helps to clear the secretions, soothes the urge to cough and makes breathing easier. The expectorant effect sets in gradually over 1–2 days.

Acetylcysteine, the active ingredient in Cough ACC Hexal Acute, is derived from the body’s own
substances acetate and cysteine and is well tolerated.

ACC Hexal is used to thin viscous mucus in conditions affecting the upper and lower airways.

Effervescent tablets

Directions for use

The effervescent tablet is dissolved in a glass of water, juice or cold tea
and the solution should be drunk.
It is recommended that the ready-to-drink solution be taken immediately after the effervescent tablet has dissolved.
Only in exceptional cases may the ready-to-drink solution be left to stand for approx. 2 hours
or kept warm.
The expectorant effect of the active ingredient is enhanced by fluid intake.

The following dose is recommended:

Adults and adolescents over 14 years of age should take 1 effervescent tablet daily.
For acute conditions, the duration of treatment is generally 5–10 days. If your symptoms do not improve during this time or if they worsen, you must consult a doctor as soon as possible.
For children under 14 years of age, ACC Hexal 100 mg or 200 mg soluble tabletsare availableif prescribed by a doctor .
