Tantum Verde® mouth spray, containing the active ingredient benzydamine hydrochloride, has anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving properties. It is used for the symptomatic treatment of painful inflammation and swelling in the mouth and throat.
The active ingredient, benzydamine hydrochloride, has anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving properties. It penetrates the tissue rapidly and combats inflammation there. As a result, difficulty swallowing and pain subside quickly.
Indications
- Symptomatic treatment of painful inflammation and swelling in the mouth and throat, particularly in cases of the common cold. After surgery, for laryngitis and for damage resulting from radiotherapy.
If you do not feel any better, or if your condition worsens, after 3 days, consult your doctor.

Directions for use
Tantum Verde oral spray is generally used 2–6 times a day (every 1½–3 hours):
- 4–8 sprays at a time for adults and young people over 12 years of age; 4 sprays for children aged between 6 and 12 years; for children under 6 years of age, 1 spray per 4 kg of body weight, up to a maximum of 4 sprays.
- Unless otherwise prescribed by a dentist or doctor, the recommended dosage also applies to elderly patients.
Method of use:
- Lift the pump nozzle.
- Insert the spray nozzle into the mouth and direct the spray onto the inflamed area. Press the spray head with your index finger.
- Before using Tantum Verde mouth spray for the first time, pump the nozzle until a uniform spray is produced.
Ingredients
- The active ingredient is: benzydamine hydrochloride. 1 ml contains 1.5 mg of benzydamine hydrochloride.
- The other ingredients are: saccharin, methyl 4-hydroxybenzoate (E 218), glycerol, sodium bicarbonate, ethanol 96% (alcohol), peppermint flavouring (containing benzyl alcohol, 3-phenylprop-2-en-1-ol (cinnamon alcohol), citral, citronellol, geraniol, isoeugenol, linalool, eugenol and D-limonene), polysorbate 20, purified water.
- Each spray delivers 0.17 ml of solution.
