Tantum Verde® Lemon Lozenges, containing the active ingredient benzydamine hydrochloride, have anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving properties. They are used for the symptomatic treatment of painful inflammation of the mouth and throat.

The active ingredient, benzydamine hydrochloride, has anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving properties. Following rapid absorption and local accumulation in the inflamed tissue, symptoms subside quickly. Tantum Verde is well tolerated locally and provides targeted relief from inflammatory symptoms and difficulty swallowing.

Indications

Symptomatic treatment of painful inflammation of the mouth and throat, such as gingivitis, tonsillitis, inflammation of the pharyngeal mucosa and inflammation of the larynx. Tantum Verde is therefore suitable for relieving symptoms, particularly in cases of the common cold.

If you do not feel any better after 3 days, or if your condition worsens, consult your doctor.

Dosage form

Lozenges

Directions for use

Adults, adolescents and children aged 6 years and over: Take one lozenge 3–4 times a day. To be sucked. Allow the lozenge to dissolve slowly in the mouth. Treatment must not exceed 7 days.
Children aged 6–11 years: This medicine must only be used under adult supervision.
Children under 6 years of age: Due to the dosage form, this medicine must only be used by children aged 6 years and over.
For children under 6 years of age: Tantum Verde Spray is available.
Older patients: There are no specific dosage recommendations for older patients. Unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor, the dosage indicated for adults applies.

Ingredients

The active ingredient is: benzydamine hydrochloride. Each lozenge contains 3 mg of benzydamine hydrochloride.
The other ingredients are: aspartame (E 951), isomalt, citric acid monohydrate, peppermint flavouring (contains benzyl alcohol, citronellol, D-limonene, eugenol, geraniol and linalool), lemon flavouring (contains benzyl alcohol, citral, citronellol, D-limonene, geraniol, linalool and butylhydroxyanisole [E 320]), quinoline yellow (E 104) and indigotine (E 132).
