Kaloba® Direkt granules in sachets are a herbal medicine made from pelargonium root (Pelargonii radix) for the symptomatic treatment of acute bronchial infections accompanied by a cough and mucus production.

This medicine is suitable for adults, adolescents and children aged 6 years and over. If you do not feel any better, or if your condition worsens, after 7 days, consult your doctor.

Dosage form

Direct-release granule sticks

Directions for use

Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age: 1 sachet 3 times a day (morning, midday, evening).
Children aged 6 to 11 years: 1 sachet twice daily (morning, evening).
Children under 6 years of age: Due to its formulation, Kaloba Direkt is not suitable for children under 6 years of age. For children aged 1 year and over, Kaloba oral drops or Kaloba syrup are also available.
Method of administration: For oral use. Hold the sachet by the arrows and shake briefly to allow the contents to settle. Tear open the sachet along the arrows. Place the granules directly into the mouth. They will dissolve in saliva and can be swallowed straight away. If desired, a little liquid may be drunk afterwards.
Duration of treatment: If you do not feel any better, or if you feel worse, after 7 days, consult your doctor. The duration of treatment should not exceed 3 weeks. It is advisable to continue the treatment for several days after the symptoms have subsided to prevent a relapse.

Ingredients

The active ingredient is: dry extract of pelargonium root (Pelargonii radix) (Drug-to-Extract Ratio (DEV) 4–25:1) (EPs® 7630). The solvent is 11% ethanol (m/m).
1 sachet containing 800 mg of granules contains 20 mg of dry extract from pelargonium root (Pelargonii radix) as the active ingredient.
The other ingredients are: maltodextrin, xylitol, highly dispersed silicon dioxide.
