The active ingredient benzydamine has anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties. Due to its rapid absorption and local accumulation in inflamed tissues, the symptoms soon subside. Tantum Verde - solution for gargling is well tolerated locally and provides targeted therapy for inflammatory symptoms and swallowing difficulties.
Indications
- Symptomatic treatment of painful inflammation and swelling of the mouth and throat, such as gingivitis, periodontitis, tonsillitis and inflammation of the pharyngeal mucosa and larynx, especially in the case of colds. Support for conservative and extractive dental treatment and inflammation of the mucous membranes.
If you do not feel better or even worse after 3 days, consult your doctor.

How to use
- Unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor, the recommended dose for adults, adolescents and children aged 5 years and over is 15 ml (1 tablespoon or 4 pumps when using the 1000 ml bottle with dosing pump) of undiluted solution 2 - 3 times a day after meals, provided they are unable to trigger the swallowing reflex.
- Use for about 20 - 30 seconds. Smaller children (children aged 2 - 5 years) may only be treated with Tantum Verde solution for gargling if prescribed by a doctor. As the swallowing reflex is not yet fully developed, it is recommended that children aged 2 - 5 years should preferably use Tantum Verde mouth spray.
- Tantum Verde solution for gargling is not suitable for children under 2 years of age. Unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor or dentist, the dosage recommendation also applies to older patients. Tantum Verde - solution for gargling is a ready-to-use solution and is used undiluted for mouth rinsing and gargling.

Ingredients
- The active ingredient is: benzydamine hydrochloride. 1 ml contains 1.5 mg benzydamine hydrochloride.
- The other ingredients are: Ethanol 96 %, glycerol, methyl 4-hydroxybenzoate (E 218), peppermint flavouring (contains benzyl alcohol, 3-phenylprop-2-en-1-ol (cinnamon alcohol), citral, citronellol, geraniol, isoeugenol, linalool, eugenol and D-limonene), saccharin, sodium hydrogen carbonate, polysorbate 20, quinoline yellow (E 104), patent blue (E 131), purified water.
