The perfectly coordinated active ingredients of GastroBalance REFLU+ chewable tablets

• Magnesium alginate for the barrier effect: After ingestion, a so-called "raft" is formed, which prevents the stomach contents from rising into the oesophagus. When the carbonate comes into contact with the hydrochloric acid in the stomach, CO2 is released, which is absorbed by the alginate gel and floats on the stomach contents, forming a barrier to the oesophagus. This prevents acid and food from flowing back into the oesophagus and thus also prevents the acid from coming into contact with the oesophagus. One advantage of magnesium alginate over sodium alginate is that there is no additional risk of excessive sodium intake.
• Calcium carbonate and potassium carbonate for neutralisation: Calcium carbonate and potassium carbonate neutralise stomach acid and thus reduce the acidity of the gastric juice. The carbonates support the barrier effect by forming CO2 through the neutralisation of stomach acid.
• Mucosave® plus HC for protection and regeneration: Mucosave® plus HC is a special combination of standardised extracts from prickly pear leaves and olive leaves. It protects the mucous membrane of the stomach and oesophagus as well as the larynx and pharynx. The mucosal adhesive properties reduce symptoms (burning, pain) and promote healing through a physical and mechanical mucoadhesive action.

Adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over: Chew or dissolve 2 chewable tablets in the mouth after a meal and 2 chewable tablets in the evening before going to bed.

Ingredients

• One chewable tablet of 1.3 g contains: Magnesium alginate 250 mg, Mucosave® plus HC (Opuntia ficus indica L., Olea Europaea L., maltodextrins) 60 mg, calcium carbonate 80 mg, potassium bicarbonate 40 mg.
• Other ingredients: Magnesium hydroxide, isomalt, sucralose, mint flavouring, flavouring with cooling effect, flavouring for taste control, mono- and diglycerides of fatty acids, Carbopol® 974P NF, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide, sodium carboxymethylcellulose.
