- Counteracts gastro-oesophageal reflux and the associated heartburn and bloating.
- Inhibits excess stomach acid and thus prevents heartburn, stomach pain and associated digestive complaints.

- The combination of carbonate and bicarbonate neutralises stomach acid. Furthermore ,the alginate gel ,together with the resulting carbon dioxide bubbles ,forms a protective film that acts as a barrier over the gastric juices.
- For prevention in situations that may trigger stomach irritation: Ingestion of irritating substances, during periods of particular physical or psychological stress, at the change of seasons, in the case of an unhealthy lifestyle, or when taking medicines, particularly anti-inflammatories and non-steroidal painkillers.
- There are no contraindications for use in combination with medicines such as omeprazole, cimetidine or cisapride; however, medical advice should be sought in such cases. Useful during treatment breaks to maintain protection and avoid the rebound effect.
