SABE belle REFLUXcontrol Sticks are a medical device for oral use for the treatment of gastro-oesophageal reflux, heartburn, oesophagitis, irritable cough and belching due to gastric reflux. For adults and children over 12 years of age.

REFLUXcontrol STICK forms a protective film and has three synergistic effects: It inhibits acid regurgitation, protects the mucous membrane of the oesophagus and reduces heartburn. Sodium alginate and carbonates form a physical barrier. Sodium alginate forms a gel on contact with stomach acid and carbonates release carbon dioxide bubbles , creating a physical barrier that prevents gastric juices from rising intothe oesophagus. Bicarbonate also neutralises stomach acid.

Active ingredients

Sodium alginate

This raw material is formed from the sodium salt of alginic acid and is obtained from the cell walls of algae. On contact with stomach acid, sodium alginate forms a floating polysaccharide gel (alginate gel), which remainsnear the stomach entrance and thus forms a physical barrier.

Carbonates

The product contains potassium carbonate, calcium carbonate and sodium bicarbonate. On contact with stomach acid, the bicarbonate is converted into carbon dioxide, the bubbles of which are trapped in the alginate gel. The resulting foam acts as a protective barrier, preventing the stomach contents from rising into the oesophagus . The carbonates also neutralise stomach acid.

Mucopolysaccharides HMW

This is a mixture of prickly pear polysaccharides (extracted from the inner part of the cladodes) and polyphenols obtained from olive leaves. The polysaccharides of the prickly pear have the ability to adhere to mucous membranes. The polyphenols obtained from olive leaves soothe the stomach lining, which is probably due to the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effect of some compounds, such as oleuropein.

Solanum tuberosum extract

The potato extract has the function of neutralising stomach acid.

Indications

Adults and children aged 12 and over with the following complaints:

gastro-oesophageal reflux
heartburn
oesophagitis
hyperacidity
belching
Stomach pain, associated with burning and/or pain
Poor digestion and nausea due to reflux
Irritating cough
During pregnancy/breastfeeding, after prior medical consultation

How to use

Take one 15 ml stick sachet after main meals and before going to bed or as directed by your doctor . Shake wellbefore use .

Warnings

The product contains sodium and requires special attention when administering alginates to patients with hypertension, cardiac or renal insufficiency. The product may impair the absorption of oral medicines. In case of long-term intake of other medicines and in case of a particularly low-salt (low-sodium) diet, the doctor should be consulted before use.
