- Formation of a bio-barrier: Galactomannans from fenugreek seeds form a barrier on the stomach contents, preventing reflux into the oesophagus.
- Protection of the mucous membranes: Malva sylvestris, known as the large cheese poplar, and hyaluronic acid form a protective film on the mucous membranes of the oesophagus. The calming and soothing effect can promote the recovery of the injured and irritated oesophagus.
- Neutralisation of stomach acid: Sodium hydrogen carbonate develops CO2 through the neutralisation of stomach acid. This supports the bio-barrier and reduces the acidity of the gastric juice.
- Regeneration: Hyaluronic acid and the large cheese poplar promote the regeneration process and contribute to the protective effect. Hyaluronic acid in particular is also said to counteract stomach ulcers due to its regeneration-promoting properties.
- When we talk about reflux, we are referring to gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD), which in most cases also leads to heartburn and a number of other symptoms. But how does reflux occur and what complications can arise?
- Reflux disease is usually caused by the closure mechanism between the stomach and oesophagus not working properly.
- This allows stomach acid (and in some cases stomach contents) to re-enter the oesophagus , irritating the mucous membrane and causing the burning sensation of heartburn and unpleasant belching. However, there are other symptoms that can indicate GERD.

Praktische Einnahme auch unterwegs, angenehme Konsistenz (wenngleich für mich etwas zu süß), was aber wesentlich ist - es wirkt bei mir sehr gut. Wenn man es allerdings nach jeder Mahlzeit und vor dem Einschlafen anwendet, summieren sich die Kosten pro Monat doch deutlich.
