Azulenal® Ointment, 50 G

Azulenal® Ointment - Guaiaculene is extracted from the eucalyptus tree and has anti-inflammatory and healing properties.

Azulenal® ointment helps with inflammation of the skin and mucous membranes, protects the skin and keeps it supple. Azulenal® ointment contains the purest guaiaculene. The oily ointment base adheres well to the skin and is very well tolerated as no preservatives are added. Guaiazulene penetrates well into the skin.

The guaiazulene contained in Azulenal® Ointment is extracted from the eucalyptus tree and has anti-inflammatory and healing properties. Like cham-azulene, which is found in camomile oil, guaiazulene protects the skin and keeps it supple. Azulenal® ointment also helps to accelerate the formation of young scar tissue and ensures that the wound is quickly skinned over.

Azulenal® ointment is used for

• Injuries, skin abrasions, skin tears, inflamed and suppurating wounds of the external skin (abscesses, ulcers, boils), pustules, pimples, fins, acne, cold sores, bedsores, soreness of the skin after excessive sweating, nipple and mammary gland inflammation, skin itching, haemorrhoids, frostbite, eczema, burns, burns (e.g. caused by sunburn, high altitude sun, X-ray irradiation). For swelling of mucous membranes, nasal abscesses.
• Massage of the gums for inflammation of the oral mucosa and leukoplakia, mouth ulcers.
• Prevention of skin damage (chapped skin and lips) and care of infants and young children.

How to use

• Apply a 1-3 cm long strand of ointment 2-4 times a day to the affected area. For mastitis (inflammation of the nipples and mammary glands): Apply a generous amount of cream to the inflamed area and nipple several times a day. Babies can be breastfed again after a short application time.
• For babies: Apply a generous amount of cream to the affected areas of skin after each drying and then swaddle as usual. There are no studies on use in children and adolescents.
• If you have used a larger amount of Azulenal Ointment than you should, no negative effects are to be expected.

Ingredients

• 1 g ointment contains 1 mg of guaiaculene.
• The other ingredients are: white vaseline, lanolin alcohol ointment, purified water. Azulenal® Ointment is free from colouring agents, preservatives, perfumes, SLS (sodium laureth sulphate), aluminium, silicones, parabens and other additives. The blue colour is due to the natural azulene, which is blue.
