Azulenal Solution – Guajazulene is a natural active ingredient with powerful anti-inflammatory and wound-healing properties.

Azulenal Solution helps with acute and chronic inflammation of the stomach lining, as well as stomach and duodenal ulcers. To improve gastric tolerance when taking p-aminosalicylic acid (PAS) and sulphonamide preparations, as well as for cystitis and bladder neurosis, colitis, inflammation of the mucous membranes of the mouth (gingivitis), the nose and throat (tonsillitis), the sinuses, and the ear (otitis media). Inflamed and suppurating wounds of the outer skin. For allergic inflammations such as hay fever to reduce mucosal swelling, inflammatory-allergic skin conditions, etc., and as part of a course of treatment.

The natural ingredient guajazulene helps to inhibit inflammation and promotes healing. Guajazulene supports a sustained and steady release of histamine. This results in desensitisation of the allergic organism to histamine. The product’s high efficacy and good tolerability are particularly noteworthy. Guajazulene’s good fat solubility facilitates its absorption through the mucous membranes.

Usage

AZULENAL – Solution is suitable for oral administration or instillation, for rinsing and instillation treatments, and for application by brushing or dabbing.

The usual dosage is:

• Gastritis: 5–10 drops 1–3 times daily in half a glass of lukewarm water. Very good results are achieved with an AZULENAL course of treatment; for detailed instructions, see ‘Course of treatment’.
• Bladder inflammation ( cystitis) and bladder neurosis: Irrigation or instillation treatment with dilutions ranging from 1:200 to 1:500. Inflammation of the large intestine (ulcerative colitis): 1–3 enemas daily, each containing 250 ccm of an AZULENAL solution diluted to a ratio of 1:500 to 1:1000.
• Nose: 1–2 drops three times a day.
• Throat: Gargle with 5–10 drops in 1 tablespoon of liquid. Swab with undiluted AZULENAL solution.
• Sinusitis: 1:200 dilution.
• Wounds, skin: dab several times a day.
• Rollkur: Add 8–10 drops of AZULENAL solution into half a glass of lukewarm water or milk and drink it in the morning on an empty stomach before getting out of bed; then remain in bed for a further 20 minutes, lying for 5 minutes each on your back, on your left side, on your stomach and on your right side. This should be repeated in the afternoon if necessary. Patients who have undergone gastric surgery should not drink the half glass of water with AZULENAL solution all at once, but should take it in 4 portions at 5-minute intervals during the rolling cure period (20 minutes). The rolling therapy is extended to 14 days and should not be discontinued, even if you begin to feel better after just a few days. Please follow your dietary instructions exactly!
