Ichtholan® 10 % ointment, 40 G

Ichtholan® 10% - Ointment is an over-the-counter medicine with an active ingredient from the group of sulphonated shale oils. It has an anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and circulation-enhancing effect.

Ichtholan® 10% ointment is used for superficial inflammatory skin conditions.

These painful inflammations are triggered by genetic predispositions, hormonal disorders, stress and intolerances or allergies to cosmetics. Without targeted therapy, there is a risk that the inflammation will spread and the pain will increase.

ICHTHOLAN® 10% ointment (contains ammonium bituminosulphonate, the well-known active ingredient of natural origin):

• Its antibacterial effect kills the bacteria
• Draws the inflammation to the surface of the skin and reduces the number of pimples
• The ointment is applied thinly once a day and massaged in gently

How to use

• Apply Ichtholan® 10% Ointment to the area of skin to be treated as thick as the back of a knife and cover with a bandage. The dressing should be changed daily. Each time the dressing is changed, the ointment residue remaining on the skin must first be washed off before a new dressing is applied.
• Method of application: Unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor, ICHTHOLAN® 10% Ointment should be applied thinly to the inflamed areas of skin and spread well. A thick application and covering with a bandage should be decided by the treating doctor.
• Duration of use: The treatment can be carried out until the inflammation of the skin has subsided. The frequency of application of ICHTHOLAN 10% Ointment depends on the type and severity of the clinical picture and the skin reaction.

Ingredients

• The active ingredient is ammonium bituminosulphonate (Ichthyol®).
• 1 g ointment contains 0.1 g ammonium bituminosulphonate (Ichthyol®).
• The other ingredients are: Yellow vaseline, lanolin, purified water.
