Product information "Vitaworld Magnesium malate 1000 mg capsules"
Vitaworld Magnesium Malate 1000 mg Capsules are a food supplement containing 100 % pure magnesium malate. Magnesium contributes to normal energy metabolism.
Magnesium is one of the vital minerals that the body cannot produce itself and must be supplied through food. The mineral is essential for many processes in the body, primarily for energy metabolism, for vital muscle functions and for important biochemical processes within the muscles and nerves. If the body has too little magnesium available, the membranes become more permeable to sodium, potassium and calcium, which increases the excitability of the nerve cells and thus also the tendency to muscle cramps. Magnesium stabilises the cell membranes, reduces the excitability of the nerve cells and thus contributes to normal muscle function. If there is an undersupply of magnesium, the body falls back on the magnesium in the bones or body cells to ensure a constant magnesium level in the blood. A magnesium deficiency would therefore also have negative consequences for otherwise vital bones.
The daily requirement of magnesium for adults is approx. 300 to 400 mg, slightly higher for pregnant and breastfeeding women. Factors such as heavy sweating during sporting activities or insufficient fluid intake can also lead to an increased magnesium requirement. Magnesium malate is the organic compound of magnesium with the salts of malic acid (malate). Magnesium malate can be absorbed very well by the body and is well tolerated. Malic acid plays an important role in ATP synthesis and therefore in energy production in our cells.
