7 magnesium salts – optimal absorption

• Magnesium malate:a magnesium salt of malic acid; an organic magnesium compound with excellent bioavailability. Malate is involved in ATP synthesis and thus in cellular energy production (-> malate-aspartate shuttle).
• Magnesium salts of orthophosphoric acid:magnesium phosphate; found in the body in bones, teeth and muscles, amongst other places, and is also absorbed from green vegetables, fruit (e.g. bananas) and cereals.
• Magnesium salt of citric acid:magnesium citrate; considered a highly bioavailable magnesium compound. Ideal for rapidly supplying the muscles (e.g. for athletes or in the event of cramps).
• Magnesium bisglycinate:a chelate compound – magnesium is covalently bound to two molecules of the amino acid glycine. Excellent bioavailability. Glycine has antioxidant, cell-protective and anti-inflammatory effects, is involved in the liver’s detoxification processes and acts in the central nervous system as a inhibitory neurotransmitter (relaxing, promotes sleep).
• Magnesium gluconate:Magnesium salt of gluconic acid (a carboxylic acid belonging to the group of fruit acids); an organic compound with good bioavailability.
• Magnesium lactate:a magnesium salt of lactic acid; like other organic magnesium compounds, it has good bioavailability.
• Magnesium L-ascorbate:Magnesium bound to ascorbic acid – a well-tolerated source of vitamin C that also provides magnesium.

• Take 4 capsules daily with plenty of liquid. Food supplements are not a substitute for a varied and balanced diet.
