Product information "Antiflat® chewable tablets"
Antiflat® chewable tablets for use in cases of excessive gas formation and gas accumulation in the gastrointestinal tract (meteorism) with functional gastrointestinal complaints such as flatulence, a feeling of fullness and tightness in the upper abdomen.
Disturbed digestive processes, poor diet, flatulent food and swallowing air often lead to flatulence. This makes the normal absorption of gases through the intestinal wall more difficult or even completely impossible. The gas accumulations are then present in the gastrointestinal tract as a sluggish, small-bubble foam. Simeticone, the active ingredient in Antiflat, causes the foam to break down. This allows the intestinal gases to pass naturally. The active ingredient itself is not absorbedinto the bloodstream , but is excreted unchanged.
Taking Antiflat usually leads to a rapid relief of symptoms with a feeling of relief and eliminates the feeling of tension in the distended abdomen .Cardiac constriction caused by displacement of the diaphragm ( known as Roemheld syndrome) also subsides after a short time.
Antiflat is used in adults, adolescents and children over 2 years of age.
