Active ingredients

Ellagic acid from pomegranate

• Botanical name: Punica granatum
• A symbol of fertility, beauty and eternal life
• rich in phytochemicals that can protect against oxidative stress and strengthen the immune system (anthocyanins, polyphenols, tannins such as punicalagins, and many more)
• Evidence suggests prophylactic and therapeutic effects, including for atherosclerosis, high blood pressure, stomach disorders, bacterial infections, diabetes and tumours
• Concentrated extract containing 40% ellagic acid (an antioxidant polyphenol described as having antimutagenic and anticarcinogenic properties)

Oleuropein from olive leaves

• The olive tree (Olea europaea), also known as the oil tree, is regarded as the ‘sacred tree of antiquity’ and can live for well over 1,000 years
• Olive leaves contain valuable phenols, flavonoids (e.g. olivine, rutin, hesperidin, quercetin), phytosterols, etc.
• The extract is standardised to 20% oleuropein (an antioxidant and antimicrobial protective substance)

Cantaloupe melon (Cucumis melo)
