Eucarbon tablets are a traditional herbal medicine for the treatment of occasional constipation.

Eucarbon contains only herbal active ingredients and has a bowel-regulating and laxative effect. Vegetable charcoal has the ability to bind metabolic products that are excreted through the laxative effect of senna leaves and rhubarb root. The mild laxative effect of Eucarbon sets in about 8 - 10 hours after ingestion.

This medicinal product is a traditional herbal medicinal product that is registered exclusively on the basis of many years of use for the stated indication. Eucarbon is used in adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over. If you do not feel better or even worse after 7 days, consult your doctor.

Cleansing of the intestines

• Non-activated charcoal absorbs harmful substances during intestinal transit.
• These adhere to its surface and can therefore be removed from the digestive tract more quickly.

Stimulation of the intestines

• Senna leaves and rhubarb root stimulate the intestinal mucosa and promote natural intestinal movement (peristalsis).
• Excretion is facilitated by increased moisture in the faeces.

Disinfection of the intestine

• Sulphur disinfects the digestive tract.
• The digestive system is protected against microbiological damage.

How to use

• Adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over: 1 - 2 tablets up to 3 times a day to achieve a mild laxative effect. The required dose may vary. Always use the smallest dose that results in a soft, non-liquid stool. The mild laxative effect sets in about 8 - 10 hours after ingestion. If a stronger laxative effect is desired, the evening dose can be increased to 3 - 4 tablets. Do not exceed the maximum daily dose of 8 tablets.
• Method of administration: Oral use. The tablets should be taken with plenty of liquid (at least one glass of water) with or after meals.
• Duration of use: If you do not feel better or even worse after 7 days, consult your doctor. Use only when necessary and not on a regular basis. Longer-term use than 1-2 weeks requires medical supervision.

Ingredients

• The active ingredients in 1 tablet are Senna leaves (Sennae folium) 105 mg Adjusted dry extract of rhubarb root (Rhei extractum siccum normatum, extractant ethanol 70% V/V) 25 mg, Charcoal (Carbo ligni) 180 mg, Purified sulphur (Sulfur depuratum) 50 mg. Total anthraquinone content of 2.65-3.95 mg (calculated as rhein).
• The other ingredients are: Peppermint oil, bitter fennel oil, sucrose, lactose monohydrate, maize starch, Arabic gum, white clay, talc.
