Dr Kottas Kidney Bladder Tea is a medicinal tea with the active ingredients horsetail, nettle leaves and hay root. These active ingredients promote the formation of urine.
Dr Kottas Kidney Bladder Tea is a traditional herbal medicinal product for flushing the urinary tract as support for mild complaints of the urinary tract.
The use of this traditional herbal medicinal product in this area of application is based exclusively on many years of use.
Horsetail or field horsetail or horsetail (Herba Equiseti)
- Early in the spring, horsetail (horsetail) sprouts brown spore shoots to the surface from a branched rootstock that lies horizontally in the ground. A few weeks later, the barren shoots are formed, which are used medicinally and are rich in silicic acid.
- Effect: Horsetail has a strong diuretic effect, but without influencing or even changing the electrolyte balance. It is ideal for flushing out bacterial and inflammatory diseases of the urinary tract and kidney gravel.
Ononidis (Radix Ononidis)
- This thorny, 30 to 60 cm tall semi-shrub blooms from June to August with beautiful, pink-coloured flowers. It prefers sunny, dry places on the edges of woods, paths and fields. The long taproot is used.
- Effect: From time immemorial, the Hauhechel root has been regarded as a diuretic. Used as a mild diuretic - for flushing out inflammatory diseases of the urinary tract and for the prevention and treatment of renal gravel.
Stinging nettle (Folium Urticae, Herba Urticae)
- The large stinging nettle grows to a height of 60 cm to 150 cm and is dioecious, i.e. a plant only has male or female flowers. In the case of the small stinging nettle, which grows to a height of only 15 cm to 45 cm, each plant has both male and female flowers.
- Effect: Stimulates the entire body metabolism and increases the amount of urine. To support the treatment of urinary complaints.
Peppermint (Folium Menthae piperita)
- Peppermint is a spontaneous cross between two types of mint (M. spicata and M. aquatica). It is sterile, i.e. it cannot reproduce naturally. It was first discovered in England in 1696 in a field of spearmint and has been cultivated in the form of seedlings ever since. It grows up to 90 cm high and contains essential oil. The leaves have a characteristic odour when crushed.
- Effect: The main active ingredient in peppermint is essential oil, especially menthol. Peppermint leaves are used to treat colds and headaches and relieve cramp-like complaints in the biliary tract and gastrointestinal tract.
