Indian frankincense - the scent of heaven
Frankincense, or rather its fragrance, is well known in the Catholic Church. Its smoke is said to symbolise the presence of God and the Holy Spirit. Frankincense is the natural resin of frankincense trees (Boswellia), which grow in dry, mountainous areas around the Horn of Africa, Arabia and India. Of the approximately 25 existing species, only four are among the most important resin suppliers, including Boswellia serrata, the Indian frankincense. The frankincense resin is a mixture of a variety of substances, such as polysaccharides (polysaccharides), essential oils, neutral components (so-called terpenes) and resin acids (including boswellic acids). The latter are of particular importance in current research.
Turmeric - the yellow gold of Asia
Turmeric (Curcuma longa) from the ginger family is known as a spice that gives curry powder its intense colour. However, turmeric root is much more than just a spice. The plant, also known as the Siam tulip, has played an important role in Indian tradition for centuries. Substances from the rhizome of the plant are of particular importance: the curcuminoids with their lead substance curcumin.
What is special about curcumin-Loges® plus Boswellia?
curcumin-Loges® plus Boswellia contains the valuable ingredients of the turmeric root and frankincense resin in a form that is particularly easy for the human organism to utilise. Following nature's example, curcumin and boswellic acids have been "packaged" in so-called micelles using state-of-the-art technology. The human body produces similar micelles, for example, in order to absorb and utilise the fat-soluble vitamins from milk. Thanks to this special process, both curcumin and the boswellic acids in curcumin-Loges® plus Boswellia are particularly well absorbed. Studies have shown that the so-called bioavailability of curcumin is around 185 times higher than that of a conventional extract, and that of boswellic acids is around 50 times higher.
Vitamin D, known as the "sun vitamin", supports a normal, healthy immune response and also has an important function for bone health. The daily intake of vitamin D contained in curcumin-Loges®plus Boswellia corresponds to the current recommendations of nutrition experts (800 I.U.).
Ingredients contained
- Turmeric: Turmeric, also known as curcuma, is a perennial plant native to the tropical climate of India. Very large, elongated, pointed leaves and large, white-green to purple-coloured flowers grow from the yellow, strongly branched rhizomes on stalks.
- Indian frankincense: The three kings brought frankincense as a gift alongside myrrh and gold. As incense, frankincense exuded "the scent of heaven" in the belief of the time. With this gift, the Magi recognised the divinity of the newborn Jesus. Incense thus became a sacred symbol of God and an integral part of Christianity. However, in addition to the incense, the therapeutic properties discovered much later are also breathtaking.
- Vitamin D: Vitamin D can be obtained from food and produced in the skin through exposure to sunlight. It is difficult to meet the requirement, especially with little sun exposure. Supplementing with vitamin D can therefore be particularly useful in the dark winter months.
What's special about curcumin-Loges® plus Boswellia - high-tech, but natural
With its two active ingredients, curcumin-Loges® plus Boswellia relies on herbal power with a long tradition. To ensure the highest possible bioavailability, so-called micelle technology is used during production. The water-soluble "packaging", modelled on nature, leads to a 677-fold (after 8 hours, curcumin) and up to 56-fold (boswellic acids) improvement in bioavailability compared to conventional preparations1. This means that the power of two extracts can be provided in a highly concentrated form - and in just one capsule.
