Dosage form
Directions for use
- Wash and dry your hands thoroughly before use .
- Remove the safety ring to break the seal .
- Remove the outer cap.
- If you wear contact lenses, remove them.
- Tilt your head back and look upwards.
- Gently pull your lower eyelid downwards so that a small pocket forms between the eyelid and your eye.
- Hold the tube between the thumb and middle finger of your other hand; turn the tube close to your eye with the tip pointing downwards, taking care not to touch your eye with the tip of the tube.
- Apply sufficient pressure to the tube to dispense a thin line of ointment about 1 cm long, or as directed by your doctor, pharmacist or optician.
- Blink several times.
- If you have missed the eye, apply another line of ointment.
- Carefully wipe away any excess Xailin® Night from around the eyelid with a tissue.
- Repeat the process for the other eye if necessary.
- Replace the outer cap on the container. Take care not to touch the applicator tip with anything, including your eye or your fingers.
- Leave a gap of at least 30 minutes between this application and the use of any other eye medicines.
