Xailin® Gel is an eye gel with carbomer that is used as a lubricant and protective agent for the eye to provide long-lasting relief for dry eyes.

Xailin® Gel provides cooling and soothing relief from dry eye symptoms such as burning, irritation or grittiness. The symptoms of dry eye occur due to disorders of the surface of the eye. These can have various causes, such as when normal tears are of poor quality or tear production is too low to keep the eye sufficiently moisturised.

Xailin® Gel contains a disappearing preservative that breaks down into water and oxygen on contact with the eye. This minimises the irritation that can be caused by traditional preservatives, while maintaining the comfort of a multi-dose system.

How to use

The usual dose is one drop, to be applied two to four times daily as needed , or as directed by your doctor, who may recommend a different application. No dose adjustment is required for children. Before using a new tube of Xailin® Gel, please check the safety ring to ensure it is intact.

Method of application:

Wash and dry your hands well before use.
Remove the safety ring to open the seal.
Remove the outer cap.
If you wear contact lenses, remove your lenses.
Tilt your head back and look upwards.
Gently pull the lower eyelid downwards and drip a drop of Xailin® Gel into the gap between the eye and eyelid.
Blink several times.
If you think you have missed the eye, apply another drop.
Carefully wipe off any excess Xailin® Gel around the eyelid with a tissue.
Repeat the process for the other eye if necessary.
Replace the outer cap on the container , avoiding touching the applicator tip with anything, including your eye or fingers.
Keep a time interval of at least 30 minutes between application and other eye medicines .

Ingredients

Xailin® Gel contains carbomer 2 mg/g, sodium perborate and excipients.

Xailin® Gel contains a dissolving preservative thatbreaks down into water and oxygen on contact with your eye .This minimises the irritation that traditional preservatives can cause, while maintaining the comfort of a multi-dose system. All you feel is the cooling and soothing relief of the gel.
