Vitaworld Myo-Inositol 1000 mg capsules are a high-dose food supplement containing myo-inositol.

Inositol, also known as vitamin B8, used to be categorised as a vitamin because it has certain similarities with the B vitamins. This fact is now considered outdated, as it has been established that the body can produce inositol itself - from glucose. Due to its sweet flavour, inositol used to be referred to as "muscle sugar".

Inositol is found in almost all tissues in the human body and is required for the proper functioning of cell membranes and the nervous system. The highest inositol concentrations are found in the brain, where inositol plays a role as a messenger substance.
