Vitaworld Myo-Inositol 1000 mg capsules are a high-dose dietary supplement containing myo-inositol.

Inositol, also known as vitamin B8, used to be classified as a vitamin because it shares certain characteristics with the B vitamins. This classification is now considered outdated, as it has been established that the body can produce inositol itself – specifically from glucose. Due to its slightly sweet taste, inositol used to be referred to as ‘muscle sugar’.

Inositol is present in almost all tissues of the human body and is required for the proper functioning of cell membranes and the nervous system. The highest concentrations of inositol are found in the brain, where it acts as a neurotransmitter.
