Tearshield Technology® is an advanced dry eye relief formula that restores and moisturises the natural tear film to provide long-lasting relief for up to 12 hours.

ROHTO® DRY AID® eye drops are a clinically proven, innovative formulation. It combats dry patches that occur on the surface of the eye due to tearing of the tear film. Its TEARSHIELD TECHNOLOGY® restores the natural tear film for long-lasting relief and protection from the symptoms of dry eyes - a complaint caused by a low tear film. It is a clear, cooling, refreshing eye drop for temporary relief from the dry, painful, itchy, burning, stinging, gritty, tired, irritated feeling caused by dry eyes.

Dry patches in the tear film can be caused by a number of triggers: for example, long periods of screen time on a computer, tablet or mobile phone, the ageing process, hormonal changes (menopause), laser eye surgery, heated rooms, air conditioning, wind, air pollution and certain medications. For reasons of comfort and effectiveness, ROHTO® DRY AID® eye drops are designed to replace natural tears and their ingredients act on the different layers of the tear film to stabilise it and restore its natural function. This relieves the unpleasant symptoms and restores normal vision.

What is the function of Rohto® Dry Aid® eye drops?

The tear film consists of a lipid layer and a mucin water layer. ROHTO® DRY AID® eye drops act on all layers. It has been proven that the stabilisation of the lipid layer effectively prolongs the tear film's break-up time. Unique ingredients have been selected to mimic the properties of the natural tear film. Sesame oil, polyoxyethylene castor oil and polyoxyethylene stearate support the supply and stabilisation of the lipid layer, which promotes the stabilisation of the tear fluid and prevents its evaporation. Povidone, propylene glycol and poloxamer act on the mucin water layer, improving its physiological functions such as water retention and friction reduction. ROHTO® DRY AID® eye drops are free from the preservative benzalkonium chloride.

How to use

If you wear contact lenses, remove them before use (wait at least 15 to 20 minutes after applying the drops before reinserting your contact lenses). Wash and dry hands thoroughly before use. Twist the cap to open. Remove the cap. Tilt your head back and look upwards. Gently pull the lower eyelid downwards to form a small pocket between the eyelid and the eye. Hold the bottle with your other hand, between your thumb and middle finger and apply gentle pressure to the eye drop bottle to place 1-2 drops into the pocket. Blink a few times to make sure the whole eye is covered.
Notes: Suitable for use in children and adolescents from 6 years of age and adults. Do not use if you are allergic to any of the ingredients. Remove contact lenses before use.
