The PICEA ointment with 20 % spruce pitch is a natural product with 100 % natural ingredients from Austria. Carefully produced according to a recipe that is over 500 years old.

Picea is a 500-year-old traditional formulation of spruce balsam and lard, which has proven itself in dermatology. Spruce balsam, rich in resin acids, terpenes and flavonoids, offers excellent moisturising and protective properties. Lard serves as a natural carrier, ensures optimum tolerance and forms a protective film that reduces water loss and strengthens the skin barrier.

PICEA SALVE melts at body temperature and therefore penetrates well into the skin, even into cracks, scales, scabs and crusts. PICEA consists of pure spruce balsam from the Austrian Lungau region. Where the air is fresh and unpolluted, spruce trees produce resins and pitch of the highest quality. For hundreds of years, the people of the Alps have relied on the diverse properties of local pitch ointments. Hieronymus Bock already mentions spruce pitch as a remedy for skin problems in his New Herbal Book from around 1540.
