Dynexan 1.8% oral gel is an over-the-counter medicine containing the active ingredient lidocaine hydrochloride. This pain-relieving gel is used for the short-term, symptomatic treatment (relief) of pain affecting the oral mucosa, gums and lips.
The active ingredient, lidocaine hydrochloride, provides rapid pain relief.
If you or your child do not feel any better after 5 days, or if your condition has worsened, consult your doctor or dentist.

Directions for use
- Adults: Apply a pea-sized amount of Dynexan 1.8% oral gel (equivalent to approx. 0.2 g of gel or 3.6 mg of lidocaine) to the painful areas in the mouth 4 to 8 times a day as required. Do not exceed a total dose of 40 mg of lidocaine.
- Use in children and adolescents: For children, toddlers and infants, use a pea-sized amount no more than 4 times a day (dosage to be determined individually, taking age and weight into account).
- Children under 3 years of age: The currently available evidence is insufficient to recommend prolonged use of lidocaine gel in children under 3 years of age.
- Method of use: For use in the oral cavity. Please wash your hands before and after use. Apply the gel inside the mouth. Gently massage the gel in. If you experience pain when inserting dentures or braces, apply a thin layer of Dynexan 1.8% oral gel to the affected areas. You can improve the gel’s adhesion by gently dabbing the areas to be treated dry beforehand.
- Duration of use:If you or your child do not feel any better, or if your condition worsens, after 5 days, consult your doctor or dentist.

- What Dynexan 1.8% oral gel contains: The active ingredient in 1 g of gel is: 18 mg lidocaine hydrochloride.
- The other ingredients are: Benzalkonium chloride, bitter fennel oil, glycerol, guar galactomannan, mint oil, heavy paraffin, peppermint oil, sodium saccharin, highly dispersed silicon dioxide, star anise oil, thymol, white petrolatum, purified water.
