elmex® dental gel, 25 G

elmex® tooth gel is used to fluoridate the tooth enamel by local application (e.g. bybrushing with a toothbrush or by the dentist using a gel carrier or another method).

The amine fluorides Olaflur and Dectaflur contained in elmex® tooth gel arecharacterised by a particularlyhigh tendency to adhere to tooth enamel. Studies have shown the deposition of fluoride and the formation of new minerals under laboratory conditions and on living organisms. This increases the resistance of the tooth enamel. elmex® tooth gel inhibits the metabolism of plaque bacteria. elmex® tooth gel thus has a caries-inhibiting effect and - in the case of existing tooth enamel defects - helps to form new minerals.

For use at home:

• Treatment of incipient enamel caries in conjunction with nutritional advice andoral hygiene
• Surface mineralisation of sensitive tooth necks

For use at home:

Always use this medicine exactly as described in this package leaflet oras directed by your (dental) doctor or pharmacist. Ask your dentist or pharmacist if you are not sure.

Once a week, apply approx. 1 cm of elmex® tooth gel to the toothbrush and brush the teeth.Rinse briefly after 2 to 3 minutes. The total application time (brushing and application time) must not exceed 5 minutes.

It is best to use before going to bed. To maximise the effect,do not eat or drink anything for 15 to 30 minutesafter application.

Any more frequent treatment should be determined by the dentist.

Care should be taken with children to ensure that they do not swallow while brushing. elmex®tooth gel should only be used when spitting out the foam has been mastered.

Ingredients

• The active ingredients are: Olaflur, Dectaflur, Sodium fluoride. 100 g contain 3.032 g olaflur, 0.287g dectaflur and 2.21 g sodium fluoride.
• The other ingredients are: Propylene glycol, hydroxyethyl cellulose, saccharin,p-menthane-3-one, apple flavouring, banana flavouring, peppermint flavouring, spearmint oil, purified water Total fluoride content: 1.25 % (fluoride).
• The flavours (peppermint flavour, spearmint oil and menthone flavour) contain the allergens (benzyl alcohol, limonene, linalool, eugenol, benzyl benzoate, citronellol and geraniol).
• 1 gel strip of 1 cm length = 0.2 g.
