PADMA Hepaten herbal capsules is a dietary supplement for a healthy liver and to support detoxification and cleansing. Contains myrobalan fruit, amla fruit, choline and terminalia bellirica fruit.
PADMA HEPATEN is a dietary supplement based on a recipe from the Tibetan constitutional teachings for a healthy liver and to support internal cleansing.* The herbal and bitter substances contained in PADMA HEPATEN herbal capsules support the liver in its important functions of internal cleansing and the elimination of bodily degradation products. In combination with choline, they contribute to the maintenance of normal liver function.
The liver detoxification centre of our body
The liver is the central organ of the entire metabolism and, at around 1.5 kg, the largest organ in our body. It is our central detoxification centre. ln the liver, waste products from the body's metabolism are converted so that they can later be excreted. Exposure to toxins or pathogens initially stimulates the growth of new, healthy liver cells. However, constant overloading, for example through excessive consumption of alcohol, fatty foods, too much sugar or certain medications, as well as excessive mental and physical stress, can lead to a weakening of the liver and thus impair its detoxification function in the long term. Initial signs such as tiredness, fatigue and concentration problems are not attributed to the liver, as it does not normally report itself at first due to a lack of nerve fibres. An indication of a weakened liver can be insomnia at the "liver clock time" at 02.00 at night.
Choline supports the natural function of the liver, such as its detoxification function. Choline is absorbed through food (e.g. in meat, eggs, fish, nuts or soya products) and is a key component of liver metabolism. In order to ensure a balanced supply of choline, the amount in this Tibetan formulation has been fine-tuned so that the recommended daily dose is achieved in combination with the daily diet.
The liver from the perspective of Tibetan constitutional theory
- The five elements of air, fire, water, earth and space form the cornerstone of Tibetan constitutional theory. The elements manifest themselves in the human body through the three dynamic principles of Lung, Tripa and Beken. Lung represents the element of wind and the moving principle. Tripa embodies the element of fire and is the warming principle. Beken consists of the elements water and earth and reflects the stabilising and cooling aspect of the organism.
From the point of view of Tibetan constitutional theory, the liver system is one of the most important body circuits. The liver is also referred to here as the body's own fountain of youth. According to Tibetan teachings, the liver's energy responds to constant overload due to an unfavourable lifestyle with a tripa imbalance. This throws the liver's energy out of balance, causing the "liver heat" (chintri) to rise. The resulting excess liver heat can spread throughout the body and promote inflammation.
The 3-fruit formula 'Bras bu 3 is a balancing formula with a special effect on the liver. A healthy liver not only serves to cleanse the body of waste products, but is also important for the metabolism, hormone balance and optimal digestion. According to Tibetan constitutional theory, eye health is also dependent on the liver. A cure is particularly useful in cases of stress caused by environmental toxins, pollutants or alcohol, for example. A cleansing cure can provide an energy boost from within.
Factors that can put a strain on the liver are
- Oxidative stress (free radicals attack liver cells)
- Heavy metals (e.g. from dental fillings)
- Toxins (e.g. alcohol, nicotine, roasted substances from coffee, barbecued food, etc.)
- Allergens (e.g. from food or the air)
- Substances from local centres of inflammation or bacteria
- Ingestion of medication - end products of natural metabolism (accumulation in case of insufficient liver or kidney function)
- Artificial food additives, preservatives in food and cosmetics
- Indoor climate (moulds, solvents from floors, furniture, paints)
