- Melatonin is a naturally occurring hormone that is produced by the pineal gland in the diencephalon. The natural production of melatonin starts after the onset of darkness and peaks around 2 to 4 am. It falls again in the second half of the night.
- Melatonin is only found in small amounts in plant foods and helps to shorten the time it takes to fall asleep. To achieve the positive effect, 1 mg of melatonin should be taken shortly before going to bed.

How to use
- Falling asleep: Take 1 tablet with sufficient liquid shortly before going to bed.
- Notes: As alcohol reduces the effect of melatonin on sleep, alcohol should not be consumed when taking melatonin. Children, adolescents, pregnant women and people suffering from liver, kidney or autoimmune diseases should not take the food supplement. People taking medication should only take melatonin after consulting a doctor or pharmacist. Melatonin should only be taken for a maximum of 3 weeks.
