- Icelandic moss, known by its Latin name Cetraria islandica, is botanically speaking a lichen. It is widespread in higher altitudes across Europe and can even withstand the harsh climatic conditions of the Arctic Circle. The lichen can grow up to 12 cm high and consists of branched, antler-like shoots. It is particularly worth noting that Iceland moss has a soothing and beneficial effect on the throat, pharynx and vocal cords. This is due to the mucilage it contains. This coats the dry mucous membranes like a balm, thereby soothing the throat and pharynx.
- Cistus ( Cistus incanus) is a particular species of the Cistus genus. It grows primarily in Mediterranean regions and has strikingly colourful flowers. The rockrose herb itself contains important tannins and polyphenols and has therefore long been used in a variety of ways, e.g. as a tea. Polyphenols are secondary plant compounds.
- Hyaluronic acid, also known as hyaluron, is an important component of our body, for example in the skin. It possesses the unique ability to bind very large amounts of water, as well as a high structural viscosity. For example, one gram of hyaluronic acid can bind up to six litres of water.
- The mineral zinc and vitamin C contribute to the normal function of the immune system and to the protection of cells, such as mucosal cells, against oxidative stress. This ensures that the immune system is optimally supported – before, during or after the cold and flu season.

- Composition per lozenge: 90 mg Iceland moss (DEV 0.3:1), 6 mg hyaluronic acid, 3 mg Cistus incanus extract (DEV 10:1), 17.5 mg 22% vitamin C, 0.5 mg zinc. * NRV = Nutrient Reference Values in accordance with the Food Information Regulation (LMIV).
