Doppelherz Hot Ginger + Curcuma is quick and easy to prepare thanks to the individual sachets and tastes pleasantly fruity. In the cold season, it provides warmth from the inside as a hot drink. But it can also be drunk as a refreshing cold drink in the warmer summer months. Vitamin C and zinc contribute to the normal functioning of the immune system.
- Vitamin C and zinc help to protect cells from oxidative stress.
- Tasty + easy to prepare.
- 30 % less sugar than conventional food supplements in hot drink form
- Also suitable as a cold drink.
- Suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
Curcuma and ginger have been valued in Asia for a very long time, but they are now also well known and widely used in Europe. Ginger is used as a spice, both fresh and in dried form. When using turmeric as a spice, the ground rhizome of the plant is used. This rhizome is strikingly coloured.
Ginger - spicy due to essential oils
Many people associate ginger with spicy, exotic dishes and have a small, gnarled, beige-coloured root in mind. Ginger is available in most grocery shops as a fresh root, powder, candied, pickled or as a syrup.
Because of its unique aroma and refreshingly pungent flavour, ginger is added to many spice mixtures for curries, jams or chutneys or in gingerbread, drinks such as lemonade (ginger ale), beers, coffee or tea.
The popular tuber is the rootstock (rhizome) of the ginger plant, which grows up to one metre high. It has long, narrow leaves and a tuberous rhizome that branches out underground, and it is precisely this rhizome with its light yellow flesh that we commonly refer to as "ginger". Its coveted pungency and the flavour of ginger are contained in the essential oils of the rhizome.
