Vitamin C + zinc to support the normal function of the immune system
Our immune system is put to the test day in, day out. This is not just true during the colder months. As our bodies cannot produce certain nutrients, such as vitamin C and the trace element zinc, on their own, they rely on a regular supply through our diet.
Doppelherz Hot Ginger + Turmeric is quick and easy to prepare thanks to the individual sachets and has a pleasantly fruity taste. During the colder months, it provides warmth from within as a hot drink. But it can also be enjoyed as a refreshing cold drink during the warmer summer months. Vitamin C and zinc contribute to the normal functioning of the immune system.
- Vitamin C and zinc help protect cells from oxidative stress.
- Tasty and easy to prepare.
- 30% less sugar than conventional dietary supplements in hot drink form
- Also suitable as a cold drink.
- Suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
Turmeric and ginger have been valued in Asia for a very long time, but are now also well known in Europe and used in a variety of ways. Ginger is used, amongst other things, as a spice, both fresh and in dried form. When turmeric is used as a spice, the ground rhizome of the plant is used. This rhizome has a striking colour.
Ginger – its pungency comes from essential oils
Many people associate ginger with spicy, exotic dishes and picture a small, knobbly, beige-coloured root. Here, ginger is available in most food shops as a fresh root, in powder form, candied, pickled or as a syrup.
Because of its unique aroma and refreshingly spicy flavour, ginger is added to many spice mixes for curries, jams or chutneys, or used in gingerbread, drinks such as ginger ale, beers, coffee or tea.
The tuber so highly prized here is the rhizome of the ginger plant, which can grow up to one metre tall. It has long, narrow leaves and a richly branched, tuberous underground rhizome.
And it is precisely this rhizome, with its pale yellow flesh, that is commonly referred to as ‘ginger’ here. Ginger’s sought-after pungency and aroma are contained in the essential oils of the rhizome.
