Doppelherz Hot Elderberry with Vitamin C + Zinc is quick and easy to prepare thanks to the individual sachets and has a pleasantly fruity taste. During the colder months, it provides warmth from within as a hot drink. But it can also be enjoyed as a refreshing cold drink during the warmer summer months.

‘Black elder’, also known as Sambucus nigra, is one of the most versatile wild shrubs. The fruits are ready for harvesting in August or September, when all the berries have turned blue-black. The plant pigment colours both the skin of the berries and the juice. Elder has followed human settlements since time immemorial and was regarded as a sacred tree, the wood of which was not allowed to be burnt. The Germanic tribes dedicated the elder to the household goddess Freya (Holla).

One sachet of Doppelherz Hot Elderberry provides 225 mg of elderberry juice powder, as well as 300 mg of vitamin C and 5 mg of zinc.

Directions for use

Each day, pour the contents of 1 sachet into a cup, add hot water (150 ml) that is no longer boiling, stir and drink. Also suitable as a cold drink.
Notes: If your daily intake of zinc exceeds 3.5 mg, you should avoid taking any further zinc-containing food supplements. Not suitable for children under 12 years of age.
