Dosage form
Directions for use
- For chronic venous disorders of the legs: 1 film-coated tablet once daily. The film-coated tablet should be taken in the morning with a meal. If your symptoms do not improve after 6 weeks of treatment, or if they actually get worse, consult your doctor. You may continue to take Diosmin Genericon for longer if your doctor does not consider it necessary to prescribe any other specific treatment for you.
- For exacerbation of haemorrhoidal symptoms: 1 film-coated tablet three times a day (one film-coated tablet in the morning, at lunchtime and in the evening) for 4 days, then 1 film-coated tablet twice daily (one film-coated tablet in the morning and one in the evening) for a further 3 days. The film-coated tablets should be taken with a meal. If your symptoms do not improve after 7 days of treatment, or if they actually get worse, contact your doctor. Self-treatment with Diosmin Genericon is possible for up to 7 days; if your symptoms do not disappear during this period, contact your doctor.
- When treating chronic venous insufficiency, it is recommended that you make appropriate lifestyle changes to achieve the best results. Sunbathing, prolonged standing and being overweight should be avoided. Walking and wearing suitable compression stockings can improve blood circulation.
- Use in children and adolescents: The use of Diosmin Genericon 1000 mg film-coated tablets in children and adolescents under 18 years of age is not recommended, as there is insufficient data available.
Ingredients
- What Diosmin Genericon contains - The active ingredient is: 1000 mg of micronised diosmin in each film-coated tablet.
- The other ingredients are: polyvinyl alcohol, croscarmellose sodium, talc, anhydrous, highly dispersed silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate; Opadry II 85F82874 yellow (polyvinyl alcohol, titanium dioxide [E171], macrogol, talc, yellow iron oxide [E172]).
