Canesten Bifonazole Cream is a broad-spectrum antifungal agent for the treatment of fungal infections (mycoses) of the skin. Fungal infections can occur on virtually any part of the body; areas where skin rubs against skin – such as between the toes, in the groin or in the armpits –are particularly at risk . Bifonazole, the active ingredient in Canesten Bifonazole Cream, penetrates the affected layers of skin andkills the fungus there.
Canesten Bifonazole Cream is used to treat, for example, fungal infections of the feet and hands (tinea pedis, tinea manuum) (including the treatment of an exposed nail bed following therapy for nail fungus that causes the nail substance to disintegrate), fungal infections of the rest of the skin and skin folds (tinea corporis, tinea inguinalis), pityriasis versicolor and skin conditions (erythrasma).
